Dr. Mendelsohn has lived in Hampton Roads for his entire life. He was born in Norfolk, and graduated from Granby High School. After high school, he went to the University of Richmond, where he received his undergraduate degree. He then went on to Virginia Commonwealth University/Medical College of Virginia and obtained his degree in Dentistry.After VCU, Dr. Mendelsohn went on and served in the military for 2 years. He spent his first year in the military at the Naval Air Station in Marietta, Georgia, and came back to the NOB here in Norfolk for his second year. After his military service, he settled in Virginia Beach and opened his dental practice in May of 1972.
