Robison Ranch was acquired by Lester Robison at the beginning of the 20th century. Lester’s son Jim has lived and worked on the ranch his entire life. Jim’s wife Jane has been his partner on the ranch for over 60 years.The Robisons followed the growth of the wine industry in Walla Walla with great interest. When Jim and Jane met the winemaker Brad Riordan and his wife Ruth, they found that they had similar interests and goals concerning wine making and formed a partnership.2006 and 2007 were experimental production years. A variety of barrels, yeasts, and grapes were used during this trial period. Satisfied with the reviews of the resulting wine from a range of people including friends, family and wine & food industry professionals, Robison Ranch Cellars bonded in 2008.
