The Pet Connection blog is owned by Christie Keith and Gina Spadafori, two long-time journalists and best friends.The two started working together at the Veterinary Information Network (VIN), and both served as the director of the VIN-owned Pet Care Forum on AOL. Gina left VIN to write books, and Christie stayed to convert the Pet Care Forum to VIN’s VeterinaryPartner.com. Christie and Gina have worked together ever since, a partnership that gained national attention when the pair broke open the story of the 2007 pet-food recall, leading to appearances on national news programs and stories in USA Today and the Los Angeles Times, among others.
