The Christian church (Disciples of Christ) was born in America in the early 1800s. The church is one of the largest faith groups founded in America. We believe the Lord Jesus, set at Table with us and that he issues the invitation to commune. Therefore, anyone is welcome at the table during any of our worship services.The church became official with eight charter members on September 10, 1881. The church acquired the Baptist church building on the corner of Third and Ash in March, 1882. Below is a rendering of the first church by Ella Haberkorn.
