Godspeed Mobile Veterinary Care was founded in 1995 as a housecall practice, with Dr. Pamela Dumont as the sole practitioner. Godspeed originally functioned as a housecall practice, housed first at Dr. Dumont{s home and then at the Toano Animal Clinic. With the purchase of Agape Animal Care in 2001, the two practices merged under the name of Godspeed Animal Care, housed in the building previously belonging to Agape. Godspeed had now become a stationary practice, but continued to offer housecalls to clients who enjoyed the convenience this offered.Agape Animal Care was founded by Dr. Barley and Dr. Lee under the name Warhill Animal Clinic in a small building on Richmond Road. Eventually, they moved into the Tewning Road building that now comprises the heart of Godspeed Animal Care. Interestingly, they were the first business to build on the Casey tract that was to become New Town. Small animal medicine and surgery were available, along with boarding and grooming, emphasizing excellent care and personal service. Dr. B.J. Schiller began working as a staff veterinarian at Agape Animal Care in 1991 and has continued to work at Godspeed Animal Care since the merging in 2001.
