In early 2006, Jason and Dana Mayfield built Bed Bath & Biscuit from the ground up, as a way to fulfill a lifelong dream of working with animals on a grand scale. In addition to owning 7 dogs and 3 cats, they also own and care for a menagerie of exotic animals including zebras, camels, primates, and two black bears – who all live together harmoniously at the Mayfield’s home in Southeast Texas.Their dedication to quality pet care and overall philosophy has continued to guide The Biscuit into a new era of current successes. Jason’s formal certification and training with Jim Burwell, acclaimed “Houston’s Dog Whisperer,” not only shaped The Biscuit’s training program, it eventually attracted Cesar Milan, internationally-renowned as “The Dog Whisperer,” to film an episode at the Willis-based facility in early 2009.Jason & Dana currently split their time between the administration of The Biscuit and their successful Montana-based camel riding business.
