Spot Treatment

This method involves drilling holes in the termite-infested area like the walls and floors. The termiticide is then inserted into these holes. This method is less expensive than fumigation and also protects from future infestations. 

Disadvantages

• This method cannot be used when the termites are in inaccessible areas. 
• It is effective only when the infested area is less than 2 square feet. 
• You might need multiple sessions to get rid of the infestation.

Non-Fumigation Termite Control

In this method, low-toxicity chemicals are used to clean your house of termites. These chemicals are inserted in places of termite infestation. Since they are non-repellent, the termites do not actively avoid them. Soon the chemicals take effect and infect the termites and with time destroy the termite colony. 

The chemicals used are non-poisonous and thus do not affect the residents. You also do not have to worry about toxic stains in your house after the treatment has finished.

• The treatment might take some time to show results.
