SEO Case Study – How We Increased the Traffic for Our Client’s Site?
According to Backlinko, only 0.63% of Google users scroll past the first page results on Google. It might seem unfair but that is competition. Showing up on the first page of Google search results means more visitors and customers. This is why we take the goal of touching the first page for our clients very seriously.
Case Study
For our client, Aladdin Gourmet, we had to promote a grocery store and the main challenge we faced was that the site was developed using the GoDaddy website builder. There is a reason why less than 0.3% of sites run on the GoDaddy website builder.
Since it is a website builder, there are a lot of restrictions with adding tags, schema, and more. To put it simply, there weren’t many options to optimize our client’s GoDaddy website.
But we pushed through the initial challenges and kept searching for alternate ways to make the site rank. And guess what? We succeeded!

How We Made It Possible
It wasn’t easy but consistent efforts gave results. If you are also struggling to make a GoDaddy website rank, then this might be of some help to you.
1. Add Content
In Google’s SEO office Hangouts, someone asked the question of whether posting content daily can improve a website’s ranking. A Google employee replied that the publishing frequency doesn’t help with Google rankings but what does is the number of pages that you have in Google Index.
So, we first focused on creating quality content that could be added to the website. We conducted keyword research and included an appropriate number of high-quality keywords in the content.
Then, we created new pages for each product and incorporated relevant content into it. We also kept updating the content which is known to give higher indexing.
2. The Indexing Problem
As soon as we mentioned creating new pages, you might have wondered about the indexing on the GoDaddy website.
In the website builder, there is a restriction in creating a search console to index the new pages and so we interlinked the already indexed pages with the new pages.
Interlinks play a major role in helping the search engine crawl and getting the page indexed fast. They help spread the link juice. We linked the information of a product on the new page with a related product on the already indexed page. Soon, the pages were indexed and ready to be displayed in the SERPs.
As a result, we saw a boost in page views and an improvement in the ranking of the web pages. Visitors spent more and more time on the website thus boosting the SERPs.
3. Marketing
It doesn’t stop with creating new pages and getting them indexed. We still have to urge and convince people to visit the website. They will have to search for relevant keywords to land on our site.
So, we started vigorously marketing our content on social media platforms and created ad campaigns. We made people notice the products with uniquely created content. We posted consistently on social media and also interacted with the customers in the comments section.
In our client’s case, it is a grocery store that also sells Mediterranean food like falafel, kebab, halva baklava, and more. We created content with tempting pictures of these foods and also added short videos of the preparation of these dishes which triggered people’s curiosity. Soon, the clicks came and traffic started to flow in.

4. Google Business Profile
In the case of our client, the grocery store attracts local customers the most. Hence, we focused on local SEO and for perfecting the local SEO game, we just could not ignore the Google Business Profile. We found ways by which we could optimize the client’s GBP.
We started with finding relevant keywords that would increase the local traffic inflow for the website. Then, we incorporated them into the title and description. We categorized the products offered by the client and added them to the relevant categories listed in GBP. We included photos and videos of the items offered in the grocery store and sometimes even the making videos were included.
We kept the profile active by interacting with the users in the Q&A section and by posting regularly. Soon, we started to see the results.
More calls came in for the client and the website clicks also increased. The client also confirmed that more local customers found the business.
5. Off-Page Activities
Off-page activities are a must for the new pages and we did not delay starting that. We secured valuable backlinks that increased the authenticity of the website. Listing the business with various quality online business directories was our step to gain authentic backlinks for the site.
Listing the business with LocalBizNetwork had one more benefit. We had the option of adding blogs and videos to the client’s profile. The blogs we posted for the client on LocalBizNetwork ranked in the SERPs and thus brought in clients.
Then, we employed other off-page activities like blog bookmarking, blog pinging, graphic sharing, document sharing, posting ads in classifieds, posting questions and answers in Quora and more, which provided the results that we aimed for.
